The Vaginal Contraceptive Film®, or VCF, is a highly-effective female birth control option. It’s a translucent and soluble film containing the active ingredient Nonoxynol-9.

Once inserted in the vagina and has dissolved with your body’s natural moisture, it will create a gel coating that contains a highly effective spermicide, killing sperm on contact for up to 3 hours!

Unlike other contraceptives, the VCF is hormone-free and undetectable. And as for the product’s efficacy, it’s 99% effective when used with other contraceptives, such as condoms. If used as a sole birth control option, it’s about 94% effective as long as you’ve used it correctly.

How to Use this Product?

As mentioned above, it’s important to use this correctly to ensure its 94% efficacy. We’re here to help you.

First, remove the square of pre-folded film from the sealed pouch. Second, gently fold the product between your fingertips. Lastly, insert the VCF deep in the vagina, specifically near the cervix. Make sure you can locate the cervix first before inserting this product. You can then proceed with the deed. If 3 hours have passed and you’re still having vaginal sex, insert another film.

Once you’re done with the deed, just do your usual post-sex routine. VCF washes away with natural body fluids, so you don’t have to remove or dispose anything, just the wrapper.
