Get the product and remove its wrapping. Hold the base of the tampon. Then, get into a squatting position and gently push the tampon inside your vagina. Keep your grip on the base and ensure that string is hanging outside the vagina; you’ll need that when removing the used tampon. Keep pushing until the string is the only visible part outside.
Change your tampon 3-5 times, and never keep it for more than 6 hours. Using it for more than the recommended duration can cause Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), a rare but potentially fatal illness. How to know if it’s time to change your tampon? Just tug the string. If it easily slides down, it’s good to go.
Do the squatting position again for removal. Pull the string diagonally downwards; the used tampon should smoothly slide out. Wrap the tampon with its original packaging or tissue paper, then throw it in a trash can.
