Disclaimer: Please remember that this blog about being delulu or delusion as a manifestation tactic is for fun and learning. It’s not a substitute for professional advice or consultation.
This formal, medical term now has a perkier appeal to the younger generations.
Let’s unlock more about what being delulu is and how it has become the solulu (or a playful abbreviation of solution) in achieving your dreams, goals, and manifestations.
The slang term “delulu”, abbreviated from delusional, was created in 2014 within the K-pop community to define a fan’s strong and delusional belief that they’ll end up with their favorite idol. This behavior would also lead to parasocial relationships. In this time and age, it’s quite a fun thing to engage in, just as long as you don’t take things seriously and excessively.
From K-Pop, the term extended to social media such as TikTok and Twitter for various life applications, from romance, career, finance, etc. In fact, you can be delulu for almost anything in your life.
“Be delulu!” People would say, but not in a joking manner.
This type of mindset is quite similar to the Lucky Girl Syndrome, wherein if you believe that you’re a lucky person, then that’s when the good things come to you. But like with parasocial relationships, it’s something you take lightly so you wouldn’t attract toxic positivity.
Now back to being delulu, it may look odd to some onlookers. However, that is a given because who wouldn’t give a double take on someone who’s delusional? But as long as you believe in it fully, then it’ll come to you at the right time.
But how exactly? Let us explain in the next section how that’s possible.
How is Delulu the Solulu?
Keep reading this section here to know more about how being delulu brings you closer to your goals.
1 There are two main laws of manifestation involved.
Manifestation has been around for a long time as a way to attract the things you want to achieve and get. And if you do it correctly, you’ll get exactly what you desire. With being delulu, the two main laws of manifestation involved are the Law of Attraction and the Law of Assumption.
Verywell Mind defines the Law of Attraction as “a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person’s life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes”. In addition, thoughts have energy around them, so the more positive thoughts you have, the more positive energy you attract and invite into your life. Connecting this with being delulu, having and maintaining the bright, hopeful energy around you and your dreams further brings you closer to it.
As for the Law of Assumption, Thriveworks defines it as the belief that the thing you want already exists in your life. You assume that you received what you wanted, feeling it to the core, and that the work is done, so you can continue living your life. Another way to word out “fake it until you make it”, but with being delusional, you keep having that idea that it’s already yours and acting like it until it actually manifests into your life.
These laws have different ways of attracting your dreams alongside being delulu. There may be a lot of people who don’t like to engage with these laws due to religious or scientific (or lack of) reasons. They’re viewed as pseudoscience too. However, for those with an open mind, these laws (and also being delulu) can impact their lives when practiced properly.
2 You have no limitations.
Being delulu allows you to dream and manifest to the beyond. You forget about your current reality because of your limiting beliefs, which are set based on your current environment. Instead, you let them go to ponder on a new one that’ll serve you better. In other words, visualizing and imagining your dreams and goals freely gives you more calmness, balance, and peace in your life.
3 You’re a lot happier and more motivated.
Because the world is your oyster and the firm belief that anything is possible for you, you feel more lifted to live with your life. You’ve let go of your limitations, and there’s more hope that the things you want are out there for you to reach. There’s a strong urge to pursue more and dream bigger when you’re being delulu when the results start coming in. Plus, the happier you are, the more good things you attract.
Ways to Add More Authentic Positivity Into Your Life
Having positive emotions when thinking of your dreams and acting on your delusions is key to bringing them to life. Let’s venture into our top 3 ways to invite more positivity to enhance our delulu selves.
1 Practice gratitude.
Doing this lets you acknowledge the good things in your life, big or small. You also appreciate how those things have impacted your life to become a better person, your highest being. It gives you a shift of mindset and a more optimistic view of life that aids you during challenging times.
When starting out with gratitude, you can start by noting down 3 things you’re grateful about your day. It can be the job that allows you to afford the things you need and want, the food that nourishes your body, the house that protects you from bad weather, and many more.
2 Recite and repeat affirmations.
Reciting and repeating positive affirmations allows you to challenge any pessimistic thoughts and boost your self-esteem. It also allows you to be resilient as you confidently say these affirmations aloud. There are many kinds of positive affirmations, whether they center on finance, relationships, sex, health, body image, etc. Find the affirmations that suit your delulu desires more and personalize them too to make them your own. Affirmations can powerfully switch any negative beliefs about yourself with more optimistic ones.
3 Feel what you feel.
Our emotions are fluid. They come in and out, and coincide with one another too. Realistically, there will be days when we can feel down for various reasons. It’s part of the process of manifestation and in life. So to avoid gaslighting yourself into being positive all the time and creating an emotionally toxic environment for yourself, allow yourself to feel all your emotions fully. You might feel guilty in the process wherein you should only be feeling happy all the time, but you shouldn’t be.
Listen to your body language to understand why you feel this way, and do what it takes to relieve yourself. And when you’re ready, let any of those negative feelings go. By treating each emotion, even the pessimistic ones, like a guest, let it be expressed until there’s nothing left. That way, you can move on with lighter spirits and invite more positive feelings to fill you up.
Being delusional in the context of manifestation can take you to a much better place. As crazy as it can sound, knowing what you want and believing that it will come (with some work, of course) will further propel your desires to catch your attraction radar. Trust in divine timing and the universe, alongside practicing genuine positivity, helps shift your mindset. And with that, have a happy and responsible delulu journey ahead!
